What People are Saying about WDYDT…
“This is my new favorite children’s book! My son was engaged the whole time, and all my kids loved the illustrations. Great message and great conversation starters!”
-Annika W.
“My family loves this book! The Feelings Page especially has been helpful to my 5-year-old daughter. She likes to look at all of them and point to feelings she's had that day. It's opened up so many conversations.”
-Katie N.
"My 3 year old daughter's interest in this book has grown over time, not decreased. The format of the book, with the discussion questions and many different scenarios on each page leave her wanting to come back to it again and again. Each time she finds something new to discuss. She actually made progress in her swimming lessons because of this book -- when the characters have to be brave and try something new, we discussed the one who was scared to swim and then found he enjoyed swimming. She kept being interested in that part and then finally tried putting her face underwater when we swam next. "
-Sarah H.
Why focus on Social-Emotional Learning?
Not familiar with social-emotional learning? It involves acquiring the knowledge and skills to:
Manage one’s emotions - Develop empathy - Engage in positive social relationships
- Practice constructive decision-making - Form a healthy self-awareness
Social-emotional learning is just as important (if not more) than academic learning for young children.
That’s why I create books that focus on making it fun and easy to help children with their social-emotional learning…
What Did You Do Today
My debut book focuses on helping children (and their adults) reflect on their emotions, experiences and choices throughout the day. This book creates an intentional space to discuss everything from feelings to food, from social situations to overcoming fears and working through frustration!
